Bit late on this, but still a great song and visuals. The beat was sampled from “A Little Bit of Love” from Brenda Russell and the track “Still not a Player” by Big Pun. Music video by Ariana Grande performing The Way. Copyright by Republic Records, a division of UMG Recordings, Inc.
I’m sure you’ve heard all over the radio about it, but it’s too epic to not write about. Kanye West premiered his track “New Slaves” around the world on Friday evening (5.17.13). Visuals were displayed on buildings across the globe in almost every major city. His face appeared on approximately 66 buildings in cities including New York, Toronto, Chicago, Paris, Berlin, and London.
This type of advertisement is absolutely amazing, brilliant, creative, and legendary. And to create an even bigger buzz, Kanye West has also been unveiling new material at his ‘invite only’ concerts. It’s rumored that his upcoming album will be out on June 18th. You can expect him to talk about his “New Slaves” premiere and perhaps perform new material at the Saturday Night Live show tonight.
On May 13, 2013 Kendrick Lamar dropped the music video for his ever-so popular track “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe”. This song samples Tiden Flyver’s song entitled “Boom Clap Bachelors” and was supposed to feature Lady Gaga. Un/Fortunately, Lady Gaga had issues with his label and left the album entirely. The theme of this song is obvious; interpreted as though someone in his life or the music industry was directing bad energy towards him and killing his vibe.
Take note of the controversial ending. During the outro of Kendrick Lamar’s music video the text “Death to Molly” is displayed. This may be Kendrick Lamar’s way of rallying troops against drugs. He has made it clear that he does not support the promotion of drugs through Hip-Hop in this interview with HipHopDX.
Enjoy this awesome music video which also includes a cameo appearance from Mike Epps.
This track missed the cut of T.I.’s eighth studio album, “Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head” due to issues clearing the Gotye sample. It’s expected to be in upcoming Hustle Gang EP as a the lead single. In the music video of “Memories Back Then”, all three rappers reminisce about girls from their past. Be sure to watch the whole video, Kendrick Lamar’s portion is the best.
I was hoping for Pepsi to come out with another commercial featuring Kyrie Irving as Uncle Drew, but this video is hilarious! Pepsi Max and Jeff Gordon take a car salesman for a spin in the Camaro. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
